Cantors
(5 p.m. Mass Saturday, 7:30 a.m. Mass Sunday, most Summer Masses)
Are you the one who starts the singing at family gatherings? You may be an undiscovered cantor. Leading our sung prayer, cantors encourage and inspire congregational singing. Not all cantors are choir members. If you can learn the music on your own and share your talent with others, please audition with the Director of Music, JJ Mitchell 703-390-2352 or jmitchell@saintjn.org.
Contemporary Ensemble
(5 p.m. Mass Sunday)
Are contemporary and gospel music your style? If you sing or play an instrument, you may find your niche here. This ensemble rehearses on Sundays from 4 p.m.-5:15 p.m. in the Church. El Coro de la Misa en Español
(Los domingos a la 2 p.m.)
¿Te gusta cantar? ¡Eres bienvenido! ¿Te gusta tocar algún instrumento? ¡También eres bienvenido! ¿No sabes leer música? No importa. En el Coro nos ponemos al servicio de Dios, alabándolo, dándole nuestro amor, nuestro agradecimiento, y nuestra alegría. Ven a ensayar los domingos a las 12:30 p.m. (antes de la misa en español) en el cuarto de música. El ambiente es cordial, familiar y, en pocas palabras, muy agradable. Puedes hablar con Grace o con Leo después de la misa.
Festival Choir
(9:30 a.m. Mass Sunday)
Open to singers of all ages who enjoy sacred music ranging from classical to contemporary, this group rehearses on Thursdays from 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. in the Music Room. Please meet with the Director of Music, JJ Mitchell 703-390-2352 or jmitchell@saintjn.org, for voice placement.
Women’s Ensemble
(5 p.m. Mass, 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month)
If your heart says, “Sing!”, but your schedule says, “WHEN????” consider joining this choir of women from high school age on up. Rehearsals are at 3:30pm in the music room, immediately preceding selected Saturday Masses. There may be more frequent rehearsals in the weeks leading up to Christmas and Easter.
