We welcome all children who have completed the 4th grade to participate in serving during the liturgy. Altar servers assist the presider at liturgy by holding the Roman Missal or Presider’s Binder; setting the altar at the presentation of the gifts, and carrying the cross or candles when needed. Training is provided.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a program in which the Sacred Scripture readings are proclaimed and explained on a level appropriate to children in Grades K-6 at the 9:30 a.m. Sunday Mass from September through May. Any child in this age group may participate. Children are dismissed from Mass before the Liturgy of the Word and rejoin families in Mass after the Gospel
For more information or to volunteer to participate as a teen or adult leader in this ministry, please contact Jean Lupinacci.
