Baptism initiates the person into the faith community of the Catholic Church. We welcome your child to be baptized at St. John Neumann! Whenever we welcome new life, our life as a faith community is enhanced. Parents, Godparents, and community promise to share the joys and challenges of living our Catholic faith.

First Reconciliation

First Reconciliation is normally received in January of the same year that First Eucharist is received during the Easter Season.

First Eucharist

Based on the Baptismal promises, St. John Neumann parish supports parents in a home-based sacramental preparation experience. Parents are the primary people who pass on our faith to their children. Our parish provides materials and experiences to support parents in their primary role.  Additional information is available from the St. John Neumann Faith Formation Office at (703) 860-2815 and also here.

Teen Confirmation

Congratulations on your engagement!  The church rejoices with you in the love that you have found for each other!

Anointing of the Sick

The Church urges all to ask for the sacrament of anointing and, as soon as the right time comes, to receive it with full faith and devotion.
